Sandra Rice resides on Chebeague Island, Maine and spends her winters in The Villages, Florida. After twenty-five years in the performing arts she moved into fine arts in 1990, choosing watercolor as her medium of choice.
Her passion is painting plein aire, the French term for painting out of doors. Both Chebeague and Florida provide the inspiration to transform the sights, sounds and smells of the islands to her artwork. You can find Sandra painting on the beach, the rocks or the villages.
Her work has been exhibited in Jakarta, Indonesia, Chebeague Island, Maine and the Royal British Yacht Club as well as establishments on Tortola, BVI and in The Villages, Florida.
